The game uses Epic Games's Unreal Engine, as opposed to all Time Crisis games before it. Time Crisis 5 was released by Namco in March 2015 exclusively for arcades. They'd have to make a lightgun specifically for this game for those consoles because there is no other lightgun games on PS4/Xbox One.

PS3 is pretty much dead and I'm not sure they'd put it on PS4/Xbox One but it's possible I guess but I won't hold my breath. But I don't see it coming to home consoles. Then there is the Wii which the Wiimote and nunchuck are almost like a lightgun themselves but I bought a gun for it that the Wiimote can fit in for only a few dollars. Epsxe 1.6 covers Elemental Gearbolt, Time Crisis and Time Crisis Project Titan, PCsX Reloaded (w/ a lightgun plugin called nuvee) covers the rest which includes Resident Evil Gun Survivor, Simple 1500 Gun Shooting 1 and 2, Ghostbusters, Project Horned Owl and Judge Dredd. I'm using 2 different PS1 emulators to cover them all because I can only get them to work on each.

This gives me access PC Lightgun games such as House of the Dead 1 and 2 Virtua Cop 1 and 2 but also emulators such as MAME which lets you play all the arcade only lightgun games, and finally PS1 to cover the PS1 games.

They also work on PC I have them on my laptop which I have an HDMI cable to hook the laptop to my TV so I can play them on the TV.

They work on my softmodded PS2 which covers quite a few of the best lightgun games, also the original Xbox for House of the Dead 3 and Silent Scope. They work pretty well and I can play practically any lightgun game with these alone.
Top Gun 3s are wireless as opposed to version 1 and 2 being wired. So a few years back I bought 2 EMS Top Gun 3s. I still have a Guncon 1 and 2 but HDTVs cannot support these guns. I've always been a big fan of lightgun games.
